Caring in Bristol is delighted to announce that today the charity has been awarded a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to expand our Bristol Nightstop project which supports young people aged 16-25 who are at risk of homelessness or of sleeping rough in the city of Bristol. This means that we can now deliver Bristol Nightstop as a full time project until 2019.

We can now continue our work to provide young people with immediate one to one help to deal with crisis situations when they are unable to access emergency support from other services in the city and to provide young people with emergency accommodation in the homes of vetted and trained volunteer hosts, helping prevent them ending up on the streets.

We have been successfully running Bristol Nightstop for the past 18 months and have worked with over 200 young people and provided over 500 nights of emergency support. This funding is really important because it means we can now continue and expand our work over the next four years, reaching more young people at risk of homelessness, growing the number of volunteer hosts and making the service a permanent fixture in the city.
